Mr Gcaba Welcome Philani

Project Leader

Master's in Teacher Development Studies and a B.Ed Honours in the same field (UKZN-Edgewood, 2023 & 2018), with almost three decades in education. Sixteen years as Head of Department: Languages, alongside leadership of an ongoing South Africa-Sweden schools partnership since 2013 and service as a Senior Marker for English First Additional Language.

Ms Desiree Lungile Mntungwana

Project Coordinator

Honours B.Ed in Educational Management (UNISA, 2015) and Advanced Certificate in Computer-Integrated Education (UNISA, 2012), with 20+ years in education. ICT Program Manager since July 2025, following 11 years as Senior Lecturer at Esayidi TVET College, plus service as a DHET Chief Marker.

ICT in Education Certificate (UNISA, 2017) and Online Facilitation Certificate (UCT, 2019), with almost a decade in ICT training and facilitation. ICT Facilitator Team Leader/Coordinator at Chartall Creations since July 2025, alongside prior ICT training roles at MGSLG and Baledi & Lutramark.

Artificial Intelligence Coordinator

BA in English and Communication (SU, 2003) and ICT in Education Certificate (UNISA, 2017), with over 15 years in education. Regional Coordinator and ICT Trainer with MGSLG since 2016, alongside service as an SGB trainer and qualified Assessor and Moderator.

Content Creation Hub Coordinator

Advanced Diploma in Technical & Vocational Teaching (STADIO, 2025), NQF Level 7. Her studies focused on vocational pedagogy, curriculum, teaching practice and workplace education.

Experienced in CAPS-aligned lesson planning, curriculum delivery, learner assessment and classroom support, with additional skills in data analysis and GIS.
